Gender representation

Because decision-making to promote diversity and inclusion relies on an understanding of the issues at hand, the Faculty of Applied Sciences has incorporated statistical tracking of women’s representation within its ranks into its performance dashboard.

The proportion of women in FSA classrooms and among staff—particularly academic staff—needs to be significantly improved across all sectors. However, the presence of female students and researchers is far from negligible and, in any case, far greater than the image conveyed by the stereotypes circulating among the general public. Women are well represented at the FSA. Surveys also show that they feel perfectly at home within the Faculty, where they contribute very actively to student life, research, and the overall dynamics of the institution.
