Sergio PARRA ANGARITA : new role on 1st October 2025

We are delighted to announce that Sergio Luis Parra Angarita is taking on a new role at the Department of Chemical Engineering as an Industrial Engineer in charge of the Chemical Engineering Halle (B17). He replaces Thierry Salmon, whom we warmly thank for his loyal service: he had been in this position for many years. 

Sergio has been part of our team since 2020, first as a PhD fellow and then as a Research Engineer, contributing to projects on wastewater treatment, sludge management, rheology, drying processes, food science, and process engineering. He is currently finalizing his PhD in Applied Sciences (Chemical Engineering Dept), building on an academic background that includes a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering (UNAL–Colombia), a Master’s in Industrial Engineering (UNAL–Colombia), and a Master’s in Environmental Sciences (USAL–Spain).
