Our cities are faced with considerable societal, economic and environmental challenges. To cite a few, energy issues, the evolution of households or the new ways of working (NWOW) will all require significant transformations in our built environment.  The Faculty of Apllied Sciences is addressing these issues through advanced design, monitoring and management of buildings, public spaces and large civil works —as roads, bridges or hydraulic constructions. Our activities typically include the prevention of risks related to buildings/infrastructures as well as the development of use-based engineering methods that  involve end-users since the initial design to the operation and maintenance of buildings/infrastructures.
