Sessions and enrolment procedure

Special entrance exam for the Bachelor’s program in Engineering Sciences

The special entrance examination is held twice a year: in July and August. You may register for the July session only, the August session only, or both sessions (if you do not pass the first one). The special entrance examination is held in person only, on the Sart Tilman campus in Liège.


Agenda of sessions 2026

The first session will take place on Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 July 2026 at les Grands Amphithéâtres, Bâtiment B7a, au Sart Tilman.

Results will be announced on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. in Auditorium 01 of the Institute of Mathematics ), Building B37, at Sart Tilman.

The second session will take place on August 31 and September 1, 2026, at the ” in Building B31 of the Faculty of Law, at Sart Tilman.

 

Results will be announced on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 12:00 PM in Auditorium 01 of the 'Institute of Mathematics, Building B37, at Sart Tilman.

 

Registration Procedures

There is no enrollment cap for the special entrance exam for the Bachelor’s program in Engineering Sciences.

Holders of the CESS or any other diploma recognized as equivalent by the Ministry of the French Community need only take the mathematics section. All others must take the full exam.


Registration will be open with no limit on the number of spots:

Math section for the 1st session: from April 20, 2026, to June 26, 2026.       Registration form for the mathematics section
Full exam  : June 12, 2026

Mathematics section for the 2nd session: from July 13, 2026 to August 21, 2026.
Full exam :August 7, 2026

Please note: Non-EU candidates must have submitted their application for admission by March 31, 2026, and have been accepted before registering for the special admission exam.

 

Documents to be submitted via the online registration form

for registration for the mathematics section:

  • Identification document (ID card or passport)
  • Certificat d’études secondaires supérieures (CESS) or a certificate recognized as equivalent if obtained before 2026. A provisional certificate must be sent later by email if obtained in early July 2026.
  • European Baccalaureate issued by a European School (www.eursc.eu) or International Baccalaureate issued by a school affiliated with the IBO (www.ibo.org)

For registration for the full exam: 

  • Proof of identity (passport or certificate of nationality)
  • Registration authorization from the Admissions Office of the University of Liège

 

Application Fees 

The admission exam registration fee must be paid after registration; payment does not constitute registration.

Registration fee: 50 EUR (10 EUR for scholarship recipients*)

  • Payment due by June 29 (June 12 for the full exam)
    , account BE15 340-0903838-30 (BIC:BBRUBEBB) of the University of Liège Endowment
    , reference: "EXADM" + session + first and last name. (Example: EXADM 1st session, DUPONT Alain)

NOTE: No refunds will be issued for this registration fee (regardless of the reason: withdrawal, visa denial, change of program, or other).

*Students receiving scholarships from the Student Financial Aid Office must provide a copy of the certificate issued by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation confirming the award of the scholarship for the final year of secondary school. Foreign students receiving scholarships from the AGCD must provide a certificate from that organization.

Exemptions

Exemptions granted during an exam session are valid only from one session to the next and will not be carried over from one year to the next.
