Efficient Multi-Level Measurements and Modeling of Computer Networks
Mr Jean-François Grailet publicly defended his thesis entitled "Efficient Multi-Level Measurements and Modeling of Computer Networks".
Summary
This thesis presents new measurement techniques for mapping the computer networks that make up the Internet. These new techniques cover several typical layers of the Internet (including routers and subnets) and take care to minimize the consumption of network resources used to perform measurements. This thesis also proposes solutions to the measurement challenges of the modern Internet and develops a more general approach to network mapping that combines different measurement methods to produce comprehensive and accurate maps of regional networks.
