Options for the Bachelor of Civil Engineering

Every year, an information session on the options available in the Bachelor of Civil Engineering program is held at the start of the academic year to help each student prepare for admission to the master’s program of their choice.

For the start of the 2026 academic year, the presentation of the civil engineering bachelor’s degree program options will be held on Monday, September 14, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in B5b.

Choosing Your Bachelor’s Major Options...

Each bachelor’s student’s program consists of 180 credits and is made up of:

      • 120 credits of required core courses
      • 60 credits of elective courses

Elective courses are chosen to provide a coherent specialized education in at least two engineering fields. Each of these specializations offers a selection of 40-credit courses. A valid program includes 60 credits of elective courses, of which at least 30 must come from a first specialization track and 10 from a second specialization track. The remaining 20 credits may be selected from the complete list of elective courses, including those within the specialization tracks already chosen.
